DESSERTS APPLE ROLL 14 c. flour 2 tbsp. milk x tsps salt % c. butter 2 tsp. baking powder l ege (beaten) Filling: 2 tbsp. butter 1% c. chopped apples Brown sugar 1/3 c. raisins (optional) 1 tsp. cinnamon Mix flour, salt, sugar and baking powder together. Work in butter, add egg and milk. Mix like biscuits. Roll quite thin and spread with butter. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Cover with chopped apples and raisins. Roll like cinnamon roll and place in deep baking dish. Topping: *% C. brown sugar 2 tbsp.butter * Cc. white sugar 2 tbsp. cornstarch % Cc. water Cook until thickened, pour over apple rolls, and bake in hot oven of 425 deg. for 30 - 45 mins.
