96 HAMBURGER CASSEROLE Linda DeJong 1 lb. beef 1 tspe onion salt Med. onion, chopped Salt 2 T. butter 6 med. potatoes 1/2 lb. green beans, cooked, , 1/4 ce. milk 1 can 1 T. butter 1 can tomato soup 1 egg, beaten 1/4 ce water 1 tspe salt Brown onions and meat in butter. Add beans, soup and seasonings and pour into greased baking dish. Cook potatoes until tender. Mash, add milk, egg, salt, butter. Spread over meat and bake for 30 minutes. HAMBURGER BAKED BEANS Linda DeJong This makes large recipe good for family gatherings. Fry 2 pounds hamburger with 1 large onion. Place in crock pot and add: 2 lge cans (28 oz.) dark brown 1 med. bottle ketchup beans 1/2 ce. brown sugar 1 (14 oz.) can crushed 1 T. prepared mustard pineapple 2 T. mayonnaise Cook on high setting 2 hours or low setting 4 hours. ITALIAN SPAGHETTI Linda DeJong 1 (12 oz.) pkge long spaghetti, 3 c. water cooked 2 tspe salt 1 1b. hamburger 1 T. sugar 1/4 ce chopped onion 1 tsp. oregano 15 oz. can tomato sauce 1 bay leaf, crushed 12 oze tomato paste l envelope (1 1/4 oz.) Italian 17/2 can 7 1/2 oz. pitted olives, spaghetti sauce with mushrooms drained and sliced Brown hamburger and onions. Add remaining ingredients. Stir in spaghetti and simmer for 1 1/2 hours. Serve with garlic bread and tossed salad. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top. The lazier a man is, the more he intends to do tomorrow.
