Ih uuu I =i i Re = : ——————_ ee” ——$—$————— | i OVEN-BARBECUED CHICKEN 6 Ibs. frying chicken parts 14 teaspoon salt 22 cup lemon juice 14 teaspoon pepper 14, cup soy sauce 1 tablespoon garlic salt x tablespoons chopped parsley 1 cup fine cornflake or 114 cups salad oil bread crumbs 8 drops Tabasco sauce Place chicken in shallow pan. Combine lemon juice, soy sauce, parsley, salad oil, Tabasco sauce, salt, pepper and garlic salt. Mix well. Pour over chicken and let stand 4 hours in refrigerator. Turn pieces occasionally. Drain chicken and roll lightly in crumbs. Shake off excess. Arrange in shallow pan and bake at 350°F. approximately 1 hour or until tender. Makes 8 servings. Mrs. Eileen Heppell OVEN-FRIED CHICKEN 1 cup dry bread crumbs 14, teaspoon curry powder (finely ground) 1 teaspoon crushed savory 1 teaspoon onion salt salad dressing 14, teaspoon garlic salt (mayonnaise type) Combine crumbs, spices, then coat serving pieces of frying chicken in crumb mixture and bake at 400° for 20 minutes. Remove from oven, brush with mayonnaise and return to 300° oven for 45 minutes. Serve with Cranberry Sauce. Mrs. G. Munro
