Add crushed pineapple. Mix all to- gether. Add vanilla. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Mix: 1 lb. raisins 1/2 tb. citron 1 tb. currants 1/2 or 1 c. walnuts Mix 2 Tbsp. flour in with the fruit before you add this to the batter - add 1 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in a little warm water. Mrs. Clara Redlack ] i 4 F MOCK POUND CAKE 1 tb. butter (2 c.) 6 eggs 1 tb. sugar (2 c.) 6c. flour 3/4 c. boiling water 1 tsp. nutmeg or mace 3/4 c. milk 4 tsp. baking powder Fruit Cake: Add (to the other mixture): 2c. cherries 2c. raisins Cream butter until soft, gradually add sugar. Beat until mixture is light and fluffy. Add boiling water, stir until well blended, then add milk. Add 2 eggs alternately with 2 cups flour until all eggs and flour are used.
