Winning Widow” Presented At Bradner “The Winning Widow” an amusing play, ‘was presented by St. Matthew’s Dramatic Society in Bradner Church Jast Thursday, and in spite of the bliz- zard, there was a large audience. The play was well presented and highly amusing, and will be presented in Abbotsford to- morrow. || LUDWIG A MATSQUI TO CALL PLEBISCITE i ON SCHOOL CONSOLIDATION , Several road improvement delegations petitioned Matsqui council at Satur- day's meeting for attention in their re: spective districts. Mr. Welch of Peardonville, occupying S. S. B. land, sought advice and assis- tance of the council in cleaning out drain causing trouble in his locality, the Settlement Board apparently hav- ing no funds for this work. Returning officers at the forthcoming municipal elections were named the same as last year, and polling booths to be in the same places as last year with one exception, Peardonville com- munity hall to be used, instead of Mr. Williams’ house. It was decided to call a plebiscite upon the consolidated high school movement. Very few changes resulted in the vo- ter’s list at the Court of Revision, seven or eight names being added.
