JUMBO RAISIN COOKIES c. raisins c. water c. shortening Cc. sugar eges tsp. vanilla em WP Fe fF PO Boil riasins and water 5 mins. c. all purpose flour 1 tsp. each baking powder, soda and salt 14 tsp. cinnamon % tsp. nutmeg % tsp. allspice 1 c. chopped nuts (optional) Set to cool. Cream together shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add colled raisins (juice and all). Sift together the dry ingredients, add to raisin mixture, add nuts if desired. Mix well and drop by teaspoons onto cookie sheet. Bake at 370 deg. for 12 to 15 mins. Makes 5 doz. cookies.
