Mi? « STRAWBERRY CREAM DESSERT 14 c. sifted all-purpose flour $c. boiling water +c. granulated sugar 1% c. crushed strawberries 2/3 c. butter or margarine $c. granulated sugar 1 pkge. prepared vanilla pudding 1 tbsp. lemon juice lfc. milk Pinch of salt 1 tbsp. plain gelatin 14 c. heavy cream, whipped 16 whole unhulled strawberries Mix flour and the $c. granulated suger (add $ tsp. salt if using shortening). Cut in butter until mixture is consistency of fine meal. Pat an even layer over bottom of large pan about 12" x 8", Bake in hot oven 400 F. about 12 MINUTOS, or until light golden brown. Prepare pudding as directed on package, using l= c. milk. Chill, spread on cold crust. Soften gelatin in cold water; dissolve in boiling water. Quickly stir in strawberries, suger, lemon juice and salt. Fold in 1 cup of the cream, whipped. Spread over pudding; chill until set. Cut into squares, serve with remaining whipped cream. Garnish with whole berries. Makes about 16 servings. If desired one package of frozen straw- berries may be used. Decrease sugar to $c. if this is the case. Dorothy Robertson COFFE ICKh CREAM PIE Melt a package of chocolate chips and two tablespoonfuls of butter in a double boiler. Mix in 24 cups of rice krispics. Grease a pie tin and press ingredients into the pie tin. Fill with coffee ice cream and shave chocolate over top. Mrs. R. Jack
