107 TUNA BROILER TREATS Ineke VanEk 3 hard cooked eggs 1 ce chopped onion 1 (7 oz.) can tuna, drained 1/2 ce chopped celery 3/4 ce mayonnaise 1 ce cubed Cheddar cheese l green pepper, chopped 8 hamburger buns, open faced Combine all ingredients together. Spread on bun faces and broil for 5 to 10 minutes. Very easy and oh so good. BEEF EMPANADAS Linda DeJong 1 lb. ground beef 1 pkge mushroom gravy mix 1 sm. onion, chopped 1 pkge pie crust mix 1 mede potato, finely chopped Paprika optional Cook together beef and onion until done; drain. Stir in potatoes and gravy mixe Stir 3/4 cup water into beef mixture. Heat to boiling, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 1 minute. Cool. Heat oven to 400°. Prepare pastry for 2 crust pie. After rolling pastry, cut into 3 inch rounds. Place rounds on ungreased baking sheets. Spoon scant tablespoons beef mixture onto half of each round. Fold pastry over filling (like turnover). Seal edges by crimping with a fork. Sprinkle with paprika (optional). Bake until light brown, about 20 minutes. These can be baked ahead and frozen upto 3 weeks. 15 minutes before serving, place frozen empanadas on ungreased baking sheet and heat in 400° oven for 15 minutes. TUNA SANDWICH SPREAD Johanna VanVeen 1 tin flaked tuna Miracle Whip Chopped onion — Salt and pepper Celery salt Mix, spread on bread or buns. Sprinkle with paprika and brown under broiler. Serve. DEVILED EGGS Cook 5 eggs about 6 minutes and cool. Cut lengthwise in half and take out yolks. Mix the yolks with 1 teaspoon butter. Add salt and seasoning plus finely chopped parsley. Fill eggs with this mixture. Garnish with paprika. :
