43 HALF HOUR PUDDING Jane DeVries 1/2 ce brown sugar 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tspe cinnamon 1 ce. raisins 1. ce flour 3/4 ce milk SAUCE: 1 T. butter 2 Ce boiling water 1 ce. brown sugar 1 tspe vanilla Combine batter ingredients and place in buttered baking dishe Pour hot sauce over top and bake at 350° for 1 hour. PUDDING CAKE DESSERT _ Linda DeJong . Make and bake a golden cake in a 9 x 13 inch pan. Punch holes in it and add one 12 to 14 ounce can crushed pineapple over top, juice also. Chill well. Mix 1/2 cup milk into a 3 ounce package of vanilla or lemon pudding and fold into 9 ounce container of Cool Whip. Put on top of cake and serve. TRIFLE Lana Verdonk 1 sponge cake or chiffon 1/2 ce sugar 2 pkge cooked vanilla pudding 4 T. cornstarch 4 ce unthawed strawberries and 1/2 pt. whipping cream juice Cook pudding according to package directions; coole Drain strawberries. With liquid, add sugar, cornstarch and cook over medium heat until thickened. Add strawberries and cool. Whip the cream. Line bottom of a large glass salad bowl with sponge cake. Put on a layer of strawberry mix, then a layer of pudding. Repeat. Add sweetened whipped cream to top and garnish with fresh strawberries or maraschino cherries. Can be made the day before. Makes an elegant dessert for a party. Serves 12 to 15. OREO ICE CREAM DESSERT Linda DeJong Crush 23 Oreo cookies and put in a 9 x 13 inch pan. Spread 1/2 gallon softened vanilla ice cream over crumbs. Open a 14 ounce can of Hershey's chocolate syrup and spread over the cream. Spread desired amount of Cool Whip over syrup. Keep covered in freezer. May substitute chocolate. chip mint ice cream for a minty dessert.
