Mrs. Violet Bell, wife of Robert Duncan Bell, of Clayburn, passed away in the Royal Columbian hospital on Thursday, Oct. 3rd, following «& lengthy illness, contracted on her re- turn from England, just a year ago A native of Wolverhampton, England, the late Mrs. Bell came ‘to Canada io 1911, residing for many years in the district of Algoma, Ont,,' coming. to Clayburn with her husbatid and fam- ily three years ago. Deceased was a talented actress, and a leading mem- ber of St. Matthew's Dramatic Socl- ety. She was ever ready to give of her best in aid of the church both in Abbotsford and Bradner, where she was well known and will be greatly missed. Besides her husband, M Bell is survived by one daughter, Norah in Abbotsford, and one son, Robert, who is attending college in Wales. In- terment took place in the Church of England cemetery in New Westminster, Rev. Frank Plaskett officiating.
