LIGHT AS AIR BUNS Mrs. Julie Boser 1/2 c. warm water 1/2 c. melted shortening 1 tsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 heaping Tbsp. yeast 1 Tbsp. white vinegar 3-1/2 c. warm water Enough flour to make a very 1/2 c. sugar smooth dough (about 9 or : TiC: } Let yeast raise; then mix ingredients in order given. Let raise in warm place for 2 hours. Knead down and let rise again for one hour. Then put in pans and let rise for 3 hours. Bake in 375 degree oven until done. OVERNIGHT POTATO BUNS Mrs. Greg Girard 3c. potato water 4 eggs 1/2 c. Mazola oil 1 c. white sugar : 1 pkg. yeast Enough flour to make sof 1 tsp. vanilla dough Soften yeast in 1/2 c. water and 1 tsp. sugar. Add to potato water, Mazola oil, vanilla, eggs, and white sugar. Beatin enough flour so dough does not stick to fingers. Make this up at 5:00 P.M. Punch down at 7:00 P.M. and punch again at 10:00 P.M. Put in pans in balls size of eggs. Cover and let rise overnight. Bake in morning 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. These also make cinnamon buns by rolling them with butter and brown sugar and rise overnight. COFFEE CAKE Mrs. Carol Skinner Dough: Topping: 1/4 c. shortening 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1 beaten egg 1/2 c. brown sugar 3/4 tsp. salt 2 Tbsp. flour 1/2 c. sugar 2 tsp. cinnamon 3 tsp. baking powder 2 Tbsp. butter 1-1/2 c. flour 1/2 c. milk Work together to make crumbly topping.
