Combine well beaten egg, water, vinegar and sugar. Beat thoroughly and add to butter. Cook, stirring constantly until sauce is thickened—about 10 min. Add vanilla. Serve immediately over hot pudding. HOT MARSHMALLOW SAUCE 1% tsp. vanilla 14 lb. marshmallows 1 cup sugar 1 tbsp sherry flavoring 14 cup water Cook sugar and water without stirring till it spins a thread. Add marsh- mallows. Beat until sauce is smooth, add flavoring. Keep over hot water. If too thick, add a few drops of boiling water.
