Boil 11/4 cups of raisins and 2 cups water for 20
minutes. Drain and save liquid.’ Mix in usual. manner.

1/2 cup butter 1 1/2 cups flour .
3/4 cup brown sugar 1 tsp. nutmeg (optional)
1 egg 1 tsp. soda

“o» 1/2 cup raisin liquid 1/2:tsp. salt

Add drained raisins. Bake in vaper cups in muffin tins

_ at 375 for 18 minutes. When cool ice with butter icing. ©

1 cup butter 1 Tbsp. water
1/2 cup icing sugar 2 cups flour

Combine like shortbread. Make small balls, mold around
cherries, dates, nuts. Cook 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
Ice with colored icing for Christmas.

l cup sugar l tsp. vanilla
1 egg 2 3/4 cups flour
1/3 cup milk 1/2 tso. baking soda

Blend shortening, sugar, egg and milk and vanilla.
