BARBECUED SPARERIBS Kay Baher Gently simmer 2 lbs. spareribs in boiling salted water (about 1-1/2 qts. water and 1 tbsp. salt) for 45 min. Drain and transfer to baking dish. Add hot barbecue sauce (recipe below) and bake covered 50 min. at 325F Uncover, turn spareribs and cook for 15/20 min. longer. Sauces (Mix all ingredients together and heat to boiling pont) 1/2 c. (scant) applesauce 1/2 c. chili sauce 2 tbsp. vinegar 1 tbsp. lemon juice 2 tbsp. brown sugar 2 tbsp. finely chopped onion PORK AND BEANS 1 large can pork and beans 1 —- 14 oz. can crushed pineapple 2 tbsp. brown sugar Bake in 350F oven for 40 min. 1/2 tsp. prepared mustard 1/2 tsp. MSG 1 tsp. worcestershire sauce 1/2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1/2 c. water Bunty Lees 1/4 tsp. ginger 2 tsp. soy sauce
