Daly's Drygoods Department Began With
Men’s Shirts, Overalls in Grocery Store

the Mill Store in Abbotsford go-

creased to “tin pants,” gloves, felt
hats and miscellaneous other gar-
ments required by sawmill and
woods crews.

opening at his recent premises in
Abbotsford, J. S. Daly found the
Fifth Column laying down an ul-
timatum: “there is no room for
groceries and us, too!” A decision

Latest developments in drygoods

MSA Area this week with the
opening of the new “Daly's.” Out-
standing in this field has been
the introduction of florescent
lighting which makes color-match-
ing a carefree matter at night and
on the cloudiest days. J. S. Daly
has tried out this modern form
of lighting in the office of his
old store for several months. Now
he introduces florescent lighting
into the new store in the dry-
goods department, installing the
