Description / Synopsis
This article is an editorial arguing that the Continuous Journey Law, enacted by the federal government, is ineffective in keeping --undesirable-- (those of Asian and South Asian decent) immigrants out while also having the effect of barring those immigrants deemed as --desirable,-- (those of European decent and a few --upper class-- Asians and South Asians). It also argues that the provincial Natal Act is much more in keeping with the --interests-- of the province and the more effective of the two. |
