This article describes the first --test-- case for the passengers of the Komagata Maru and the legal proceedings that allowed it to quickly pass through provincial court to be heard (as wished by both parties) by the B.C. supreme court. The laws-- being challenged are the Continuous Journey Regulation, the Reasonable Cash Qualification and the federal government prohibition of artisans and labourers into British Columbia.
