Chilliwack Rotary Club president Harry Geddes joined FVC president Peter Jones, geography instructor Doug Nicol, and librarian Anne Knowlan for a look at copies of the Chilliwack Progress dating from 1891 to 1978. A thousand pounds of the historical papers were retrieved by Anne and Doug from the legislative library in Victoria. The newspapers will be housed in the new Heritage Room on the Chilliwack campus library, which will be created with a $2,000 donation from the Chilliwack Rotary Club.
