Description / Synopsis
This article discusses an incident where five passengers aboard the Komagata Maru were allowed to disembark onto a government launch to converse with some friends from Nanaimo and were then prevented from re-boarding by the other passengers at the behest of Gurdit Singh. Additionally it describes the anger of Vancouver South Asian immigrants, who have been prevented from having any contact with those aboard the ship, that such a consideration was given to the people from Nanaimo. Also a delegation under the leadership of Sundar Singh is set to travel to London to bring the matter of South Asian immigration before the King. -- |
