Ineffective regulations (transcript)

This is an editorial condemning the Continuous Journey Law (a federal measure) as ineffective and counterproductive while claiming the Natal Act as superior. It also discusses the author--s belief that South Asian immigrants, while undesirable, are preferable to Japanese, and condemns the act as wholly ineffective in keeping Japanese immigrants out of British Columbia. Nichol complains that the current legislation is not in British Columbia--s best interests. The article also briefly discusses a famine in India and the relative prosperity of the North American continent.--
